About Susanna L.
Susanna has studied piano since the age of 5, and has been fortunate to study with the late Professor Danielle Martin at the University of Texas. Susanna has her Bachelor's Degree in music for the University of Texas and has taught piano and voice since 2004. She enjoys working with people and uses her patience and perceptiveness to communicate music to others. Susanna is a church musician and was a member of the University of Texas Longhorn Singers and also attended Berklee College of Music studying jazz and popular music.
*** Lesson Details ***
As a person I am laid-back, I take the same attitude toward teaching, however I am strict when it comes to getting work done & getting it done well. For piano I use the Alfred series. After 3-6 months I would want my student to have learned the basics of rhythm & note identification. For singers breathing technique as well.

Great Voice Instructor!
I have been taking lessons with Susanna for close to 6 months and she has been a great teacher. I feel a lot more confident in my singing ability and I look forward to each lesson. I learn something new everytime. I am completely new to singing and she makes sure that you are comfortable in the environment and caters to your needs and what you would like to work on.
Great instructor. She actually shows interest in her students and I love that about her. I've learned so much after a short period of time.

The piano lesson is for my daughter Laetitia. I never stayed with her when she had her piano class so I can't make any comment on Susanna.So far my daughter is still interested on playing piano and she practice is every day with fun. Susanna told my husband that she will buy some new music book for her so I guess Laetitia really enjoy her piano class.
I like Susanna's patient, yet firm, demeanor. She expects my child to succeed without 'punishing' her when she makes a mistake. She praises her--which my child needs. She doesn't make her feel bad when she makes a mistake. I have seen teachers do this and it breaks a child's spirit. Thank you Susanna for being firm yet compassionate. My child is totally comfortable with you.

Susanna is a really good teacher. My son has learned a lot in a short amount of time. Susanna does a great job of keeping him on task.
