I am an experienced educator with 25+ years experience in elementary classrooms. While I have taught all subjects, I particularly enjoy teaching math to a full range of students, from those who need a bit of support to students who are ready for more challenging work. I keep lessons to 30 minutes because beyond that, it's hard for young children to stay focused and attentive. I believe all students can achieve competency in mathematics with practice, hard work and most of all good teaching. Since COVID I have become proficient at teaching online. I am trained in Singapore Math and have a strong sense of the skills and concepts students need to become competent, confident mathematicians.
