My name's Sunny. Many people ask if they need upper body strength to *start* pole dancing. The best answer is NO! You BUILD upper body strength WHILE you pole dance. Worried that you're not strong enough to support your weight with only your arms?! Just like every sport, pole dancing is a skill that starts at the very beginning. Our first classes will be filled with basic moves that EVERYONE can achieve. With a regular practice, you'll be able to wow your friends (and yourself!) with aerial inverts and other tricks.
Already a pole dancer, but looking to improve your freestyle and flow? That's my favorite part of dancing!
You must have your own pole installed at home. (I recommend xpole.) If you do not have one (yet), we can do some floor work exercises to get you ready for the pole.
I have 10 years of teaching under my belt, and my masters in education helps me understand the learner and helps me choose the best course of action for our lessons. I am an avid learner and practitioner of fitness. I teach zumba and yoga as well, and incorporate all these experiences into our pole lessons.
