I'm a guitarist, pianist, vocalist and most importantly a musician. I play with an Indian band called Akayam, alternating as their vocalist, guitarist and pianist. I am training in Hindustani classical music, under a contemporary of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Being self taught, with mentors coming in as and when needed, I have figured the best method to learning guitar as efficiently and effectively as possible. Dabbling in the philosophy of music, I can help the student understand his/her interpretation of music.
I, as a mentor, and more so a student of such a vast field, believe that I can give you the right direction with your music learning and mentor students through the path to achieve their goals.
A completely personalised course structure, will make it fun and interactive for the students. Also, from me the student will learn what he needs to know, which will soon translate into wants. All this because I absolutely love teaching and music is my passion.
My core fields are, metal, blues, progressive, pop and all other types of rock. The student can learn any style of music and I'll make it a point, as a mentor to meet their needs. :)
So? Let's get started? :D
I had a wonderful experience learning to play the guitar with Mr.Sumukh. He ensured that I learnt every step before moving on the the next. He teaches with a lot of patience. The only problem I had in one or two sessions is that my internet connectivity was slow and so it was a difficult to conduct the classes on those days. Otherwise a very fulfilling experience. Thanks Sumukh. Would highly recommend! :D+ Read More

Music was never such fun! I have learned a lot in a short span of time.
Sumukh doesn't just cater to ones needs as an instructor, but the fact that he can relate to his students personally gives him an edge as a mentor.
Unbiased in his approach and his passion towards music sets him apart from the rest.
He takes a student step by step through a course no matter how long. I've been under his tutelage for a period of eight months and it has been the most progressive eight months in terms of learning.
Time has never been a problem, he's flexible with it and caters to a student's needs.
Understanding the philosophy behind music is not an easy skill, but with a mentor like Sumukh, one can go places in learning, not just an instrument, but music as a whole.
To most people, music is an art. To Sumukh, it's a science that helps create art for everyone to absorb and love.
