I am a passionate performer and teacher of the violin, viola and piano. Over the years, I have performed regionally and internationally the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C, Boston Symphony Hall, Chicago Symphony Center, Tokyo Opera City, and Seoul Arts Center, performing a variety of music from classical to folk to jazz. I believe that all students have the ability to learn music with the right instruction and environment. As such, I tailor my teaching methods to best fit the student's learning style and interests, to ensure that they have the best chance at success and have fun at the same time. Many of my students have been successful in winning competitions and district audition placements, going on to perform at NYC's Carnegie Hall and Rockport's Shalin Liu Performing Arts Center. Beyond performing and teaching, I am passionate about exploring how music can enrich, empower and strengthen communities. As violinist and Co-Artistic Director of Boston-based String Orchestra “Palaver Strings”, I have been involved in various community projects such as the Carnegie Hall Lullaby Project (A song-writing project that pairs pregnant women with musicians to write and sing lullabies for their babies), Bridge Boston Chamber Music Institute and Boston Medical Center’s Arts Lab.
