Hello There! My name is Stewart, I am a guitarist and singer-songwriter living in California! I graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. I have played guitar since the age of 14 and have been a passionate music fanatic my entire life. I began teaching back in 2008 and have taught lessons ever since. When I'm not teaching, I'm writing and recording music or performing with my band, Radiokeys! I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you make your music dreams come true! Cheers!

Our 8-year-old son Finn has been taking Piano lessons from Stewart since last Fall when he was 7, and he is greatly enjoying it. Stewart is a very patient and motivating teacher, and he does a good job commanding attention for our easily-distracted little dude. The lessons are well-tailored for his age and level of abilities (beginner). This has helped to make the learning fun and frustration-free. The skills are coming very naturally at a good pace, and I am surprised by how well he is beginning to read music, and to know the note lengths, intensities, fingerings, etc. Stewart also occasionally sends us personal video lessons to help build upon Finn's skills where he needs help the most. This helps to keep him interested and practicing; it's been a very nice personalized approach that we have enjoyed. So far these lessons have been online, but we look forward to the time when we can go to in-person lessons with Stewart. It has been a great experience so far, and we plan to stick with it.

Stewart is so kind, thoughtful, and talented! I have had two other guitar teachers before him and Stewart is by far the best. Stewart makes learning guitar so fun by telling me music history, helping me with my own songs that I am writing, and teaching me really cool songs! There are so many things that I like about Stewart, but the thing that I like the most is the way that he teaches me songs that I like. He askes me what song I want to learn how to play and teaches it to me. My other guitar teachers would teach straight out of the book which could become boring after a while. Stewart also gives me great music suggestions to learn too! He introduces me to bands and artists that he knows that I would like. Stewart is very confident at distance and in-person learning too! The lessons go very smoothly! Stewart even makes additional videos that he sends me so I can understand it better. Stewart is very enthusiastic, fun, and kind. I feel very lucky to have Stewart as my guitar teacher! No one else could come anywhere close to comparing to him!!

Stewart has been amazing with my son. He started when he was 5 and a half years old and he is now 7. I have seen my son's skills grow over the time Stewart has been teaching him. He is very accommodating, every once in a while last minute things come up because as they always do, but Stewart is very flexible and accommodated to my needs. Stewart is also very skilled. My son has had some unique request for songs he wants to learn, for example "Zelda needs a ladder Deadmou5e mix" and Stewart was able to figure out the music notes in no time and taught him that song all in one 30 minute class. Stewart is great with my son and very patient he wants the kids to enjoy the learning process and not be a drag. The homework he assigns is easy to follow that even I started learning the guitar from the homework my son is given. Can't say enough good things about Stewart.
