About Steven M.
Steven Moncado is currently an active composer, instructor, and active member in the music community in Tacoma, Washington and its surrounding areas. His instruments are violin, viola, and cello. He his been playing the violin for 16 years, cello for 12 years, and viola for 3 years respectively. He is continuously writing music for a variety of ensembles including orchestral as well as choral, and writes in a variety of different genres.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Music with a focus in Music Composition from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. He has studied under a number of recognized musicians and scholars such as Jeffery Bell-Hanson, Richard Nance, and Richard Treat just to name a few.
He has participated with multiple ensembles during his educational career including the Pacific Lutheran University Symphony Orchestra, and has had his compositions premiered across the country from Los Angeles, California to New York, New York.
He has continuously invested his will into spreading his passion for music, and hopes to continue this path for the rest of his career.
