My name is Steven Crammer and I am professional drummer and teacher based in New York City. I have a B.M (jazz performance) from William Paterson University, a certificate from Drummer's Collective, and am working towards my M.M. (jazz performance) from Manhattan School of Music. I have performed around the country in a wide variety of musical settings (jazz, rock, theater, marching band, etc.) and taught privately for 9 years, as well as given clinics/masterclasses. Although my formal education is focused on jazz, I perform and teach many styles of music. I am as comfortable playing/teaching rock and metal as I am with jazz and world music. Beginners to advanced players are all welcome, The lessons are flexible based on each student's specific needs and interests. I want the student to have a relationship with music and the instrument. We will work on building a strong foundation (technique, groove, time) as well as being creative and working towards the student's personal musical goals.
