As a school-based instructor, I've taught electric, acoustic guitar and bass throughout South Florida and New York for over 20 years. I teach all ages --children and adults. Whatever your personal musical goals, I'll make sure to make each lesson productive for you. I'm currently also a freelance bassist/guitarist with live performance experience in bands throughout the Northeast of the US and South Florida. I've performed in many venues, festivals and major events nationwide. In addition, I'm been a studio session musician, composer and arranger on a host of CD projects. I've also judged county-wide talent /music competitions and opened for major headliner acts throughout my performance career. *** Lesson Details *** Learn to play the music you love! Lessons include: • writing and reading music using standard notation or tablature • ear training • theory / harmony • solo / ensemble performance • creative development *** Studio Equipment *** Within the Studio there's a keyboard and different guitars/basses. There's also a sitting area with chairs, music stands, metronome, tuners and amplifiers for use. *** Travel Equipment *** I bring my guitar/bass, books and/or sheet music and an amp (if the student is learning to play electric guitar). Metronomes and tuners and any supplies can be brought over for the lesson. *** Specialties *** Specializing in achieving good tone, phrasing, understanding harmony, developing confident technique regardless of style of music. Also specialize in reading as well as learning music by ear. Years of experience with most styles of music including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Acoustic Styles, Folk, Classical Music etc. And the techniques which are essential for those styles.
