*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are pretty laid back. I like to focus on the student and what they want to learn. My goal as a teacher is for my students to enjoy their instrument, and get personal satisfaction out of it.
*** Studio Equipment ***
separate room in house w/ seating for parents, music stands and amps, and guitars
*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my guitar, and music. I have some core song material that I teach, then I take requests. All my student needs is his/ her guitar and an amp.
*** Specialties ***
I prefer to teach guitar via tablature, I feel that it keeps the student interested because it allows them to begin playing real songs almost immediately. I do teach students to read music at their request. I specialize in the rock and blues genres, but enjoy teaching any style aside from metal.
Great Guitar Teacher
I have been taking lessons for a number of years now and just started about 6 months ago with Stephen. I find that I am having fun at the same time I am learning with Stephen. He is quite knowledgeable and really enjoys it when he can see that I am picking up what he is trying to teach me. I look forward to my lessons with Stephen which I can't say about my former teachers. i highly recommend him for anyone considering taking guitar lessons.
I have been tinkering with guitars for 30+ years and in the last 3 weeks I have learned to play 3 songs and they were made easy by my instructor Steve
