    About Stephen I.

Hello! My name is Steve and I've been teaching private drum lessons on and off since 2012. I am a product of the University of Pittsburgh where I marched with the Pitt Drumline for 4 years. During my time as a student, I was also involved with several jazz, symphonic, and world music ensembles and later founded my own fusion/jam band, The Clock Reads. Before Pitt I marched in the Drum Corps International (DCI) circuit with The Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps (2010-2011). I really want to help students focus on their technique and approach to producing a full proper sound out of any drum they play. I like to keep lessons upbeat, engaging, and above all FUN. I encourage daily practice and providing students with new music after each lesson to inspire them.
