I was the Writing Specialist for the entire education program for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, serving under the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education and the Governor of Pennsylvania. I oversaw the entire statewide writing program.

In this capacity, I was responsible for overseeing a K-12 teaching staff of 250 teachers and developing academic programs for them. Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the District's Long Range Plan and the District's Certification Program.

I taught 9th through 12th grade English, including Honors English, AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, as well as lower tracks of English and Writing. Additionally, I was the yearbook and student newspaper sponsor as well as varsity assistant basketball coach.
