I hold a master's in classical voice performance from New Jersey City University as well as a graduate diploma in music composition from the Longy School of Music. I received my undergraduate education from New York University and am currently obtaining a master's in composing at Tufts University. My music lessons are informed from the perspective of being both a performing and compositional artist. I strive to foster a complete musical education for my students, and that includes a focus on vocal technique, music theory, pitch recognition, artistry, and somatic alignment. In addition to my extensive musical training, I am also a certified yoga teacher and reiki worker, and I incorporate mind/body modalities into my teaching of the singing and musical arts. Singing is an embodied art form, as the singer's instrument is literally within her or his body, and as such, I work with students to understand how anatomy and mind/body awareness informs vocal technique.

About Stephany S.

Hello! I am a full-time singer and composer and want to help foster the beautiful art of singing and music within you. I have been teaching music for six years, and I strive to foster healthy vocal technique, practiced musicianship, and embodied artistry in my students. My specialty is in classical singing technique, but I also regularly teach pop and Broadway styles. I look forward to chatting with you about your musical journey!

I have taken lessons with Stephany for over a year, and it's been just what I was looking for. I've been singing recreationally for years but had never received any formal instruction. Stephany's guidance has equipped me to sing in a more mindful, healthy, and skillful way. Stephany has been great about meeting me where I'm at and cultivating a consistently positive learning environment.

Stephany does a great job of doing explaining and demonstrating how to achieve certain results with singing. She is able to describe the step by step technique for singing certain notes or achieving a certain tone quality or moving between registers. I feel that I have been able to make a lot progress in a relatively short length of time.

Soprano Stephany Svorinić is a focused, imaginative, dramatic performer who teaches with forthrightness and perceptive care for the individual student’s needs. In addition to having created her own private music studio teaching children ages 5-10 singing, beginner piano, music theory, and songwriting, she has guided adults equally effectively and holds advanced degrees in classical vocal performance, music composition, and communications.

Stephany is one of the most versatile and comprehensively skilled musicians I have taught, and as a current degree candidate for the Master of Arts in music composition at Tufts University, she is distinguishing herself with cutting-edge work. Her prizewinning original compositions traverse acoustic and electronic media, and include opera, solo song, and instrumental pieces.

An expert communicator and complete musician wholly comfortable with repertory running the gamut from medieval to the most contemporary styles, Stephany is also an Equity actor and member of the Screen Actors' Guild and Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

From Stephany Svorinić, you will receive the most informed music instruction available, given with scrupulous preparation and attention to your aspirations. I recommend her perennially innovative approach to music students at all levels!

My daughter has been taking lessons with Mrs.Stephany for almost a year and she has been an incredible teacher. When we first found her, we weren’t looking for a weekly teacher, but her encouragement and excellent teaching style was like no other. She was able to help my daughter improve her voice in a very short amount of time, her enthusiasm and motivation really made the difference for us. I would highly recommend her as a voice teacher, there is really none like her!!
