I earned my Theater and Dance degree from Chapman University in 1998, and moved to New York City where I spent 10 years pursuing a performing arts career, both in theater and as a singer/songwriter. I found minor professional success as a recording artist and studio musician, and performed in numerous off-off Broadway theater productions while teaching theater and dance to children at the Bronx Community Center and also private voice lessons in the recording studio. Since becoming a mother I have been giving voice lessons from my home. I have had 3 of my voice students audition for X Factor and The Voice. I love to pass on what I know and what I've learned to the next generation of artists and performers. *** Lesson Details *** My teaching style is fun and energetic, lots of positive reinforcement but also high expectations to do your best and be disciplined, especially when it comes to practicing at home. The only way to really learn is to do it! Each lesson we will warm up, review technique and work on your current song or scene. Ideally you will build up a repertoire of material you have mastered and can perform. After 3 to 6 months with me, you should be able to perform or audition with complete confidence and skills that will blow them away! *** Studio Equipment *** Lessons supported with a full weighted keyboard and professional grade microphone, and computer for streaming karaoke instrumentals.
