I truly believe that all students should have the power to take ownership of your own work! Instead of standardization, let's work together on shared interests in the humanities and social sciences and go deep into diverse texts and cultures. When I am writing, I feel empowered when I care about the subjects I write about and want students to know the same joys of writing. I started writing seriously as an undergraduate and have improved my craft since then. Skilled academic and professional writing is not something you will master in one lesson, or one course, or even in one year, but I will help you begin that journey, not only to get good grades but to have motivation that comes from inside of you. Most teachers have little or no understanding of what writing is outside the classroom. I can show you what it's like in the real world. I've been teaching since 2012 and studying humanities and social science since I was a grade school student three decades ago. To me, school isn't just something that we do. Rather, academics is something that informs every aspect of professional and personal life.
