Hello! I’m Steph, I’m from California but currently located in Missouri. I grew up by the beach, which has had a great influence not only on my art but also my life. I have a passion about our oceans and the creatures within. I have been painting since I was three, I’m currently 28. When I was younger my parents put me into private art classes and I have taken as many classes since. I’m currently going after my BFA in studio art with my concentrations in painting (specifically oil) and ceramics, I will be graduating this next May. I took some time off of school for about 5 years, in that span, I expanded my art profile with murals, theatrical set designs, wearable paintings (shoes) and did many commissions. I have either learned through great artists or self taught in various areas of the arts, including crafty side of things. My range goes through painting, ceramics, sculpture, drawing, calligraphy, print making, weaving and macrame, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and various other crafty things. Pretty much if it’s creative, I’ve probably played around with it, at the least. All that being said, I always come back to painting. Beyond that, I read a lot when I’m not creating or making coffee (I’m a barista). I love to cook and bake. I always have music going which leads to a lot of dancing around. My theory is that the kitchen is the very best dance floor. I took a year of French recently, I’m still wanting to continue that. I’m always trying expand my knowledge and push myself.
