A native of Atlanta, Georgia, I moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to pursue music in a new city, believing in limitless possibilities. I have been fortunate enough to play live at The House of Blues, The Viper Room, and sell songs to motion pictures. The dream only grows. I'm never done making my mark, being inspired to write a great song or connecting with a new student and watching the way music inspires them. I studied Music Education at Los Angeles City College. I have years of live performing experience and extensive experience teaching music to children, I specialize in beginners, getting started with the proper technique is key to being a successful musician. My teaching philosophy: As a teacher, it is my job to give my students the tools to become well-rounded professional musicians, if they choose. But what trumps that, is that the student ENJOYS playing. Because if students aren't motivated, they will have a hard time practicing regularly and may not continue lessons. Therefore, my teaching style is very unique. I focus on finding music the student enjoys playing. Some of my students are playing songs like: "All of Me" by John Legend, "Let It Go" from Frozen and "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy. I spend hours each week researching music and can usually meet any request. Meanwhile, I find fun ways to incorporate music theory and technique into our lesson. I truly tailor each lesson plan to the student.
