Soo loves teaching her students of all ages. She's now been teaching almost for 10 years with the greatest passion. Not only does she love music, she also loves interacting with people and sharing her passion about music with everybody! She has a set of curriculum for beginners but for more advanced students she comes up with new ways that fit each individuals.
For 6 years, she's been studying with Robert McDonald, who's now world-renowned pianist/teacher, at The Juilliard School. Under the theory of Dorothy Taulman, she's very well trained with this particular technique which helped her a lot as a professional pianist. This technique is based on how our body works and helps to prevent from injuring our hands which happens quiet often to many of musicians these days.
Soo Yeon is very friendly and has a outgoing personality that people can approach her with comfort. She also makes sure that every one of her students gets a chance to perform regardless of the level of their playing. Occasionally she offers her livingroom in her house as one of the performing venues for her students, so all of the music-lovers get to experience what it feels like to be a performing artist!

perfect combination

I must say I was hesitant at first to enroll my daughter and browse through many piano teachers here without specific recommendations. My hesitations was at eased when I met Ms. Cho for few sessions and I consider my daughter lucky to have a piano teacher like her. She is very considerate, patient, talented, and understanding in all aspects especially dealing with a 5 year old. We saw Ms. Cho at her element and she is truly one amazing and gifted pianist. If you are around her area and is looking for a piano teacher, without any hesitations, I definitely and highly recommend Ms. Cho. Good luck!
