Hi! I'm Skyler. I am finishing up a degree in Percussion Performance B.M. from Rutgers University in the Spring of 2019. Most of what I do as a performer is play in pits for musicals, and play with various bands around the tri-state area. I currently play with two bands, both of which are rock/alternative bands. I have been playing for musicals since 2013, and since then have played over 25 shows! My career goal is to play in a Broadway pit, living in New York City. The two most important things to me when teaching are: 1. Making sure the student is enjoying what we are working on; and 2. Making sure the student gets a full understanding for the instrument and music they are playing. I am a firm believer that the basics will take you far! With that being said, the basics can get tedious, so I always try to make sure things stay fun! I look forward to meeting you and to your musical growth!
