    About Silas G.

Hello, My name is Silas. I began my passion for chess when I was 6. For three years, I worked daily with children and teenagers of various ages teaching them the tactics, rules, and theories of chess. This work was done through a well-known chess tutoring company based in the Greater Philadelphia area. While instructing through this company, I would construct lesson plans adjusted for the lowest level in the class while allowing room to differentiate toward the highest level as well. I found it exciting to come up with new ways to engage children in the game and I always looked forward to the next lesson. I am willing to teach beginner and intermediate level players. I would not simply teach the game, but also tournament etiquette and sportsmanship. If details of the student's current level of experience and history in the game could be provided prior to scheduling lessons that would be appreciated.
