Clarinet with Shuo-Lei C.

Hi my name is Shuo-Lei Chang, I go by Sole (pronounced Solay). I currently play second clarinet with The Phoenix Symphony. I have been playing the clarinet since I was 10 years old. During my middle and high school years, I played with the El camino Youth Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as numerous All-State and other honor bands around the state. After high school, I attended the University of Michigan and completed my Bachelor of Music degree studying with Daniel Gilbert, former clarinetist of the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. I also completed my Master of Music degree in 2018 from Long Beach State University studying with Helen Goode-Castro. Before my time at Phoenix Symphony, I have played with ensembles such as Dearborn Symphony, La Mirada Symphony, Debut Chamber Orchestra, and Downey Symphony. I enjoy teaching the clarinet and helping others achieve their musical goals, whatever they may be. I look forward to meeting any clarinet player looking to improve their skills.
