I offer spoken Hindi classes to navigate social and professional situations effortlessly. I recommend that you learn to read and write the language but it is not compulsory to be able to speak it, though it would help immensely with accurate pronunciation of sounds that are unique to Hindi. I use standard spoken-Hindi books as backbone for my curriculum. I also offer classes to those who are already Hindi speakers, to enhance their understanding and interpretation of Hindi literature (prose and poetry) and grammar. The majority of my work experience has involved teaching middle and senior school curricula stipulated by the two largest education boards of India - CBSE and CISCE. I have been teaching in Delhi, Chandigarh, Atlanta, GA, and Gurgaon. I am a graduate of Philosophy (honours) from University of Delhi, 1995. My family comes from the northern Hindi speaking state of Uttar Pradesh. I was born and have lived in New Delhi for most of my life. I try to make my classes enjoyable and stimulating. There will be reading and writing, and discussing and debating involved. But you will move along at a pace and difficulty level decided by you.
