Hi there! My name is Shoshana and my passion is teaching piano and guitar to children, teens, and adults! I started my journey with music when I first picked up the guitar and piano at ages 8 and 11, and have continued playing ever since. From 1988 to 1996 I directed a Peruvian folkloric music band in Dallas. The band received performance grants from the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs for three consecutive years. It also performed for the Dallas Guitar Society at SMU. I received an International Education Scholarship (1992) and a Chancellor’s Office Scholarship (1993) from the University of North Texas. I have always had a passion for teaching: from languages (Spanish, English, and German) to dance (African-Peruvian) and music. No two lessons I teach are the same, because no two students are the same. I believe that my best teachers have been and are my own students.

Shoshana is an excellent teacher. Very patient and the best part is she listens to students. She was very flexible with me if we got to a song I didnt like/enjoy she was willing to go to one that was a better fit. She feels you learn better if you are working in something you want to play.
