Violin with Shih-Lien C.

Shih-Lien is a native of Taiwanese currently activates in the Boston area. While studying in Boston, Chang was active in various performances with the Boston Conservatory Orchestra; she performed the Chopin Without Piano at the Paramount Theatre. Shih-Lien made her debut recital in Taipei (2014) and holds recital yearly. She attended the WACH School of Music Summer Festival in Nancy, France and studied with Stéphane Tran Ngoc as well as performed with other attendees from all over the world. Shih-Lien also enjoys teaching violin and playing the Erhu which is a Chinese instrument that she had studied over years and is an inspiration for her to learning the violin. She is an experienced violin instructor teaching all ages students since 2013. Chang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in violin from Aletheia University (2014), where she studied with Wen-Chuan Lin; she received her Master of Music degree in violin (2017) and the Professional Studies Certificates (2018) at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee under the tutelage of Markus Placci. In 2014, Shih-Lien acquired a Certified Teacher Training Course. Shih-Lien has completed pedagogy courses in college and graduate school. She is fortunate to study with remarkable teachers that she learned a lot about the method and skill of violin performance. Therefore, Shih-Lien is eager to apply all she acquire on violin teaching, providing students violin lesson which improves their technique and builds their musicality while finding happiness in music.
