About Sheppard M.

Hi! My name is Sheppard (I go by Shep if as well) and I’m a 28 year old drummer originally from Atlanta, GA. I developed an interest in music when I was about 10 years old. After years of trying sports and other activities, I found my true passion once I started playing music. Over the years I started playing in bands, church, marching band, high school jazz band, etc. I've studied with a variety of teachers as well, namely Justin Varnes (Georgia State University) and Dave Elitch (Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, The 1975, and more). In the spring of 2016 I relocated to Los Angeles. Since then I’ve played with some 15+ artists/groups, went on my first national tour, tracked drums at A-list recording studios, and have been actively practicing my craft in my spare time. My next step is to acquire students to share my knowledge and love for music with. Whether you are a parent of a kid who wants to learn drums, retired and you want to enjoy the love of drumming, or anywhere in between, I'd love to work with you! Thanks for looking!

This gig was a section of the 'Full Throttle Nights' show at Six Flags Magic Mountain, where I would perform along side a DJ to get the crowd hyped for the rest of the show. It's a very high-energy show as well which always required me to give my best performance.
