Become a powerful gospel singer. Learn from established gospel singers and music directors

I would like nothing better than to help you discover and develop your voice's greatest potential. Singing embodies many elements including proper tone production, rhythmic accuracy, proper diction and connecting to and sharing the emotional content of a song. It is a personal journey for singers to learn how to integrate all those elements into their own instruments and I will act as your trusted and supportive guide throughout the process. I have a master's degree in classical vocal performance from the renowned Manhattan School of Music and performed with opera companies in New York City. Currently, in New Orleans, I sing with the joyous Shades of Praise interracial gospel choir. I have had the privilege of studying with some of the finest voice teachers, conductors and coaches that America has to offer and I would love to share that combined knowledge with others. I have also had the agonizing and humbling experience of losing and rebuilding my voice after medical difficulties, which allows me to teach students how to protect, strengthen and keep their voices healthy throughout the journey.

I would like nothing better than to help you discover your true voice. The journey of developing one's true voice integrates many elements including proper tone production, rhythmic accuracy, diction, memorization, and the ability to connect with and convey the emotional context of songs. It would be my privilege to guide you on that journey as a patient, supportive and encouraging teacher. I have a Master's degree in classical vocal performance from the renowned Manhattan School of Music and I performed with opera companies in New York city. Throughout my singing journey I had the privilege to work with some of the finest voice teachers, conductors and coaches America has to offer. I love to share that tradition, knowledge and wisdom with my students. I now live in the musically vibrant city of New Orleans and have sung with the joyous Shades of Praise Interracial Gospel choir and the NOVA Chorale. On the journey of developing your true voice, I understand how to coach appropriately for a variety of singing styles beyond classical including broadway, jazz, pop, blues, country and gospel. I will help you integrate the fundamentals of proper tone production, accurate rhythm, diction and interpretation across genres. If you are interested in the classical genre, I am well equipped to coach Italian, German and French diction and would love to help prepare high school students who may be preparing to audition for college music programs. Due to medical circumstances, I had the agonizing and humbling challenge of losing some of my vocal ability and I went through the process of rebuilding my voice. I am committed to making sure my students at all levels sing healthfully and sustainably. If you are someone who has experienced vocal damage, I am happy to work with you to healthfully rebuild your instrument. In addition to my singing, I have a career in eLearning and understand how to make learners feel comfortable and authentic in an online learning environment. If you are in the New Orleans metro area, I have a comfortable home studio with piano and great acoustics or I can travel to your home within a 15 mile radius.
