I have been a Girl Scout Leader since 2007 and lead two amazing troops #64146 & 64171. I mention this as Girl Scout leaders go through an extensive background check. I am professional Portrait artist specializing in portraits of pets and people and am also skilled at drawing and painting landscapes, homes, still lives, etc. I love working with varied media and finding ways of helping people to understand and improve their skills. I have taught art lessons since 1992, and was the Youth program director and instructor at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists in Ridgefield for several years. I currently teach privately and through venues such as Arts Escape in Southbury CT and Foothills EdAdvance. I am a board member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, and member of the Richter Association for the Arts, SCAN, and serve as a Volunteer Horse Patrol. I have been a partner to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society since 2011 and have used my art to help support animal shelters throughout CT including DAWS, Whiskers, ROAR, CT Draft Horse Rescue, Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Center, Manes and Motions Therapeutic Riding Center etc. I am skilled in teaching art to people of all ages and abilities including special needs, Gifted and Talented youth, retirees looking to improve their skills, etc. I am looking forward to sharing my love and joy of art with you!
