About Shawn M.

Shawn Meloy is a professional instructor and performer in Olympia. He has worked with students of all ages and his approach is one of discovery. He has played in several orchestras on the oboe as well as solo and students of his have won competitions and earned scholarships to music conservatories. Although sharing his love of music is not only for the purpose of winning at competition, it is nice when that happens. For Shawn, study and understanding is vital, but so is performing. He puts an emphasis on sharing music with friends, family, and the community in public recitals as well. He is currently working on opening a new music school in Olympia, WA. Sound Studios Olympia which has studio space as well as the best recital hall in the area!
