I direct, and arrange music for a 5 piece jazz band. The band mostly plays charity events and parties such as the Sacramento local Kids Helping Kids charity gala, or the 100th anniversary celebration of the Carmichael water district.

Want to entertain your family and friends with your musical ability? Interested in learning to write and record your own music? Or looking for a new and deeper way to express yourself? 
I've been playing music personally for 10 years, and 5 of those years have been spent working professionally as the director of a swing jazz band. I welcome beginner to intermediate students of all ages. My curriculum will be a solid balance of skills such as reading music, proper technique, and music theory, coupled with driving the personal interests of my students through the songs they want to learn and/or write.

The cutting edge of music is the place to be as far as I am concerned. I view the music of the past as the collected communal knowledge of every musician who ever came before you! By deciding to pick up an instrument, you are choosing to be a part of a tradition and community of people that have existed since the beginning of time. I hope to add to that tradition, and help foster more musicians who will in turn add to that tradition.
