In my sessions, I am more than a teacher, I am a mentor and a counselor, I promote positive energy for positive outcomes. I am the Artist behind JFA Studio in Baltimore, Maryland. My resume includes graduating from the Baltimore School for the Arts and continued studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art until I decided I didn’t want to be a “Starving Artist”. So, I graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources Management. My education also includes 27 graduate credits that were leading to a Master’s in Public Administration when I decided to discontinue that path. After twenty-five years in the public sector, I decided to revisit my passion for art in my spare time. As a youngster, I remember wanting to teach art in schools, but I did not want the restrictions that are present in the classrooms and more so today. All forms of art is a freeing practice that is practiced and developed over time. Art is very therapeutic. Self expression through art is an amazing experience. It's personal on all levels. I've taught and currently consult with former and current Baltimore School for the Arts visual arts students.

The absolute BEST and not only that but she is truly wise and I’ve learned a lot more about the perspective of art! We drew Codename Kids Next Door together. It was a lot of fun and I felt so comfortable and peaceful! Lots of positive energy! She’s very patient and supportive!
