Sharon is an incredible piano teacher. She is enthusiastic, joyful, funny, supportive and has an immense depth of knowledge when it comes to the piano. You can tell she loves what she does which means every lesson is a pleasure. I couldn't have picked a better teacher. I would and I do recommend her to anyone interested in learning to play the Piano

Sharon is friendly, supportive and super encouraging. She moves at the student’s pace, and keeps a good handle on the progression of the lesson, so that you get a good chunk of instruction/learning while not being overwhelmed. I’m a newbie at music instruction, and Sharon was wonderful in every aspect for someone starting like me. I’m sure she’d be just as fabulous for a more experienced piano player.

Fantastic first lesson. Sharon is great to work with. She explains the process and then we get right into the music and vocals. She's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I'm looking forward to my next lesson.

Sharon is a lovely and outgoing woman. I’m new to piano and reading music, but she is so patient and encouraging. I’d recommend her to a piano newbie like myself. She also has the cutest pup that keeps us company during the lessons.

Love Sharon! My 13-year-old daughter takes voice lessons with her and Sharon is funny, positive, and very energetic.
My daughter has said she would not go to anyone else. Sharon is great with young students and getting the most out of them, especially if they’re a bit shy. We look forward to seeing her every week and I highly recommend her as an instructor.

I highly recommend Sharon as a piano instructor. She is very enthusiastic, encouraging and patient. Also her way of teaching is amazing. I am an adult beginner who had taken a few lessons with another instructor before. Though I did pick up some terminologies, I like the way Sharon goes back to basic and teach me the fundamentals without assuming me know it. These are essential for me to progress further.

I honestly don't know where to begin. Sharon West has helped me in so many ways! Not just vocally but in all aspects of performing and in life. I was a 13 year old little girl when I met Sharon for the first time. I immediately knew she was the person that was going to help me achieve my goals. I don't know how I got so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing, caring and loving vocal coach but I was totally blessed! Thank you, Sharon for all that you have done for me. Love you lots Sharon

When my daughter was younger, she would sing in her room, the shower or anywhere else she felt comfortable. She was very shy but loved to sing. When she was 13 years old, she lost her grandfather. This was devastating to her and the rest of our family. After the loss, she decided she wanted to make singing a part of her life. Not being musically inclined myself, I didn't know where to turn. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon Sharon West! For the next 6 years, Sharon worked with my daughter weekly teaching her so much more than just music. She guided her on all aspects of performance from singing to entertaining her audience. Sharon West was a huge part of our lives and we could never thank her enough. My daughter now performs in front of thousands and you would never have known she was every a shy, quit little girls. Sharon is by far, the best vocal/performance coach. Love and Miss you Sharon

I took lessons with Sharon weekly from the age of 14 until I was about 17 years old. Still to this day (I'm almost 21), I remember the tips she gave me about singing. Sharon is such a wonderful person that I've had the privilege of getting to know. She is very knowledgeable about the professional business and about how to be the best singer you can be. She definitely changed my voice for the better. As a student at Emerson College, I'm constantly performing, Sharon's lessons always ring true for me.

My daughter keira had been a student of Sharon’s starting at 5 years old ! She learned piano and singing. Sharon was very enthusiastic, fun , encouraging and supportive. Keira learned so much more from Sharon than just playing and singing. Keira very much enjoyed how Sharon taught and how excited she got with each new learning mile stone !

Singing with Sharon was so much more than just vocal lessons. Not only did Sharon boost my confidence in myself but she gave me a bright perspective on life. There was never a time where she said i couldnt do it, i learned that i could do anything i put my mind to. With her extensive knowledge of music and practices, Sharon taught me that i could hit notes that i never imagined i could. It was truly an amazing experience. Her love for music is so contagious and her encouragement never let me down. She always said to either find someone that i could create music with or someone that could appretiate it. Thank you Sharon for being such a beautiful soul and teaching me things that will stick with me forever!

I could not be more happier with choosing Sharon as my daughter's instructor. Her expertise in the subject she's teaching is outstanding. More importantly, my daughter loves her. She comes home bragging to everyone how wonderful her instructor is. Looking forward so many more lessons in the future.

Mother
Lily took to Sharon immediately! I did not expect Lily to be so excited about piano. I believe Sharon makes it fun and interesting for my young learner.
Sophie's piano classes
Sophie loves her piano classes Miss Sharon and is energized by her thoughtful and upbeat teaching. Sharon is a lovely and warm person, very quick to gauge Sophie's learning level as well as her everyday mood and attitudes to music, and interested in engaging her particularly with music she is interested in--she learned last week that Sophie loves pop music--Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, etc., so in addition to the piano books, she has promised to teach Sophie a Cyndi Lauper song (which Sophie is quite thrilled about!). She is also great with giving the right amount of homework and homework tips to make Sophie's home piano practice interesting and fun and not a chore. We both also love that Sharon is a singer, since Sophie is in choir (Boston Children's Chorus) and loves singing. We look forward to having Sharon teach voice as well as piano, she advised we do this a little bit later, once Sophie has mastered some piano basics--we're happy to take her advice.
