Knitting for you and your family

I have been knitting for myself and family for over 30 years. I have learned to follow instructions and have made baby sweaters, hat and booties. If you are wanting to learn a new useful craft, knitting is one that really comes in handy for gifts and fun creations to share with your family. I have created some of my own hats and headbands after we moved to our new place for retirement. I can teach you how to read instructions and create some useful, beautiful items for yourself and your family. We can make baby blankets and lap blankets for cold weather and have fun doing it.

    About Sharon F.

I started making jewelry for business purposes in 2009. We were getting to retire and I wanted something to do that was fun and profitable. I did a lot of research and talked to people who were already working at fairs, festivals and flea markets. I knew I did not want to work at a flea market because I wanted to make jewelry that people would fall in love with and enjoy and pass the pieces down to family. My husband and I started gem mining while on vacation for several years. It was the thing to do while on the road to seeing relatives. I learned what the stones were and had many of them faceted. So beautiful and I was hooked! The gems started my wanting to create jewelry and my creative mind took over when I saw the variety of pieces I could create and not just from gems. I have not stopped since. Everything is a potential piece of jewelry. It has been a wonderful learning process and you will enjoy putting together a beautiful piece of jewelry that your family and friends will love to look at and want to own as well. I love to create earrings, necklaces and bracelets for women and children using pearls, crystals and seed beads. My creations are one of a kind handmade for a personal look and taste. I am a more traditional person preferring to use crystals, pearls, gem stones and sterling silver chains and ring settings. Jewelry can be made of almost anything, shells, glass, silver spoons and knives and wood. Whatever you find that appeals to the eye. I enjoy learning and teaching and believe we should be doing this all of our lives. It keeps us healthy, wise and in tune to the world and those around us.

    Jersey Girls Jewelry

I started my own jewelry business in April of 2013, part time while still working a full time job. I learned how to create the jewelry and then went on to work at fairs and festivals. I have learned how to create beautiful jewelry from pearls, crystals and many of forms of beads. I also have learned the fine art of seedbeading creating necklaces and bracelets that are breathtaking and sturdy. I learned the best ways to evaluate the fairs and festivals that I wanted to work at and how to set up a display that draws the eye of the public.I have worked at 20 festivals until the pandemic started in 2019.
