Performing and practicing the art of music making has been my passion since I was very young. When I was about 5, I started performing with my mom around our community and loved it! I'm classically trained and come from a musical family. I felt drawn to get my Bachelors of Music Education (K-12 with a vocal emphasis). I firmly believe that music learning can be done by ANYONE who is wanting to learn at ANY age!

Over the past 7 years of teaching music to children in schools across two states, I have always loved meeting new students and encouraging them on their musical journey. I am passionate about teaching students of all ages. I also have experience teaching students with special needs throughout the years.

I specialize in teaching new students to have wonderful practice habits, a correct foundation of vocal and/or playing techniques, and healthy performance skills. I like to use Piano Adventure and WunderKeys books for piano learning to work on technique, theory, improvisation, note reading, and artistry. In vocal lessons, you can expect to have repertoire chosen that meets your musical goals singing in classical, musical, pop, and jazz styles. We work each week to meet your specific goals and I plan each individual lesson accordingly.

Having an attitude of learning is important to me and I'm constantly looking for new ways to improve my teaching and better my own musicianship through classes and workshops. I'm looking forward to talking with you about your musical goals!
