I am currently a Substitute teacher for Riverside and Alvord Unified School Districts. I have been teaching children and adults for over 3+ years. I do not want to pay for a background check again for this website but I have gone through extensive background checks to be a substitute and will provide proof if desired. I took a break from private lessons, but I am eager to get some started once again. I currently do not have student instruments, so that must be provided by you or your parent. I graduated Cal-State San Bernardino as a Music Major with an emphasis in Jazz Studies with a Bachelors degree in the field. My main instruments are Guitar and Bass, but I also play ukulele, percussion, piano, sing and more, with enough proficiency to teach the basics to intermediate in all fields offered. I mainly play Jazz, RnB, rock and pop Guitar and Bass, but I also used to play Classical. I have played in a few groups outside of school, jazz combo and big band in and out of school, choir and concert band at school, and I am currently working on some other projects. I will not tolerate flakiness. If you are not serious about learning and will not show up to our scheduled lessons on time or if you can't guarantee that you will be available during our lesson time every week, then I am not the instructor for you. Lesson cancellations must be notified 48 hours in advance. *Same day cancellations will not be refunded under any circumstances* Lesson plans must be prepared by me in advance which takes time I am not being paid for. Even for emergencies, a same day cancellation will not be refunded so know that before you sign up. Think of it as other recreational services or college courses where you are paying for the month or semester in advance, either you show up, or you don't. Either way, the services are paid for and it is up to you reap the benefits by attending the lessons or classes.
