English (ESL) with Shakila L.

Hello, My name is Shakila. I have been teaching with an ESL population for approximately 7 years. I knew I wanted to work with ESL students, therefore I graduated from Georgia State University with ESL endorsement. I also have my Masters in Reading and Literacy. I am more than my credentials. I believe in structure, but I also believe the student helps in gauging the way I should teach. Each person is not the same, therefore, I cannot teach each individual the same. I provide individualized learning opportunities for each student I have. Bringing out a child's personality through learning is my goal and building a bond where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning is my ultimate goal. I look forward to hearing from you!
