Santiago graduated from the Berklee College of Music (rated number 1 music school in the world by Hollywood Reporters) with a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Composition and Percussion Performance. Ever since he was in his freshman year of High School, Sebastian (C-bass) immediately became involved in music. Along with joining many ensembles at school he also attended the Governor's School for the Arts where he specialized in percussion performance. He later received a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music. He graduated with a Bachelors in Jazz Composition and Percussion Performance. He now lives in New York playing for many people, composing, teaching, and leading his own group called "C-bass' Infinity Band" Santiago has played and studied with notable artists such as: Willie Nelson, Annie Lennox, George Garzone, Hal Crook, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Frank Foster, Bill Whelan, Terri Lynne Carrington, Ralph Peterson, Patrice Rushen, Aj Rafael, Matthew Savage and Harris Simon (pianist for Michael Brecker) *** Lesson Details *** My instruction is very organic and genuine. Everyone is different so I work with those differences and create a completely customized instruction that is made only for that one student. I focus on a student's weakness' and not only teach them how to solve that particular problem, but how to solve other future problems. I teach my students how to teach themselves. The best teacher you will EVER have is yourself! I help my students realize their importance in the music universe. It is a serious responsibility to be an artist and I teach my students to respect it and value their place as an artist. I have always had positive responses from my students and they always come back for more lessons. I mainly play drums but I teach ALL instruments! I PROMISE if you study with me, you will discover so much about your potential as a musician! *** Studio Equipment *** 2 Drum Sets 1 Nord Keyboard 1 Guitar/Vocals/Keyboard Amp 1 Guitar Amp 1 Bass Amp MANY Percussion Equipment (ask for details) *** Travel Equipment *** MTA *** Specialties *** I mainly play drums and percussion but I also teach improvisation for all instruments. fantastic teacher! Sebastian is a great teacher and a player. He is probably the nicest guy you are gonna study with, humble and well prepared for the lessons. If you're considering taking drum lessons, Sebastian is the man! Highly recommended.

Great teacher for beginners or advanced students I'm a pop/jazz/classical pianist, and I took lessons with Sebastian to get better at improvisation, and just improve my musicianship in general. Even though he is a drummer, he taught me performance concepts that can be applied on all kinds of instruments. His explanations are very clear and straightforward, and when I didn't understand something he would explain it another way. He's also very easy going, but pushes you to be better at your instrument. He always keeps a clear channel of communication open and always replies texts and emails. I highly recommend him!
