Strong emphasis is placed on the physical aspects of playing the instrument, especially for the beginner: handling of the instrument, body posture and body feeling, tone production, rhythm and finger technique. Much of the technical study is based on works by Marcel Moyse, Louis Moyse and Joachim Andersen, in short: the French school of flute-playing
