For the beginning student, out of necessity, there is a focus on the physical aspects of mastering the instrument, with as much inclusion of musical creativity as possible at any given stage of the development.
Further on, music for flute will be explored as well as technical development (tone-production, finger technique, posture, body-feel, etc).
Students music-style preferences will be incorporated as much as is possible at any given stage of development

Any style of music the student is interested in will be incorporated into the lessons, including classical, jazz and popular music.
Strong emphasis is placed on the physical aspects of playing the instrument, especially for the beginner: handling of the instrument, body posture and body feeling, tone production, rhythm and finger technique.
Much of the technical study is based on works by Marcel Moyse, Louis Moyse and Joachim Andersen, in short: the French school of flute-playing
