I'm currently a Master's Student at Carnegie Mellon, but previously I graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a Bachelor's in Music. My approach to the trumpet can be broken into three categories. Conditioning: students need to develop strength as well as have a beautiful, efficient sound. Technique: Facility and agility are essential to be able to play increasingly difficult music on the trumpet. Musicality: In the end, what we are doing is playing music and it should be fun and from the heart. I teach trumpet players of all ages and ability levels. I've been playing the trumpet for 16 years and began my career as a freelance musician in 2015. Not only is trumpet technique in my repertoire, I can also teach music reading, basic music theory, and musicality to beginning and advanced students alike. I am a classically trained trumpet player but solid fundamentals are essential to be successful in any genre of music!
