Hey there Trumpeters and Potential Trumpeters!
A few more notes about myself and my background...
I've spent most of my life working as a musician, since 1999, when I was 13. I took to the trumpet on the suggestion of an amazing public school music teacher when I showed up asking to join the jazz band without the ability to play an instrument or even read music...(had no idea what I was doing at the time)!
However, I started taking lessons with him that summer and by the end of the school year I'd gone from bottom chair to lead in every group at school and within a couple of years started performing with my teachers and with professional musicians in the greater Seattle area, then hitting the recording studios. By 15 I was invited to be a guest musician with the Seattle Symphony.
I studied under the Principal Trumpeter of the Seattle Ballet company from 14 to 18 and went to college with a passion for music. I studied music at the University of Maine and University of Nebraska at Omaha, performing, touring and teaching along the way. During that time, I joined a few small jazz ensembles, along with the university bands as well as a 20+ irish-rock group that I continue to play and tour with today.
I have also worked as a firefighter for over five years, and recently completed my training at Creighton University and earned my license to serve as an EMT in the state of Nebraska...maybe going for paramedic as well. I love working with and helping people!
I have a number of students in the Omaha area now and I would love to meet you (whether for online for online or face to face for in-house lessons) and see if you would like me to help you become the amazing trumpeter and musician that you want to be!
Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to meeting you!

Scott is a great music instructor. Plays the trumpet and tin whistle like a champ!
Skilled, attentive, and patient. Can't ask for much more!
Scott is a very proficient trumpet player, and I'm sure he would be a fun teacher. I have played various types of music with Scott including Jazz, Rock and roll, soul, and Irish folk among others. Scott has a love for music that, is infectious.
Scott really taught me how to buzz!! The music theory is really starting to stick and influence my soloing. That is Scott!!
Scott has taught me so much! He is skilled at WAY more than only the trumpet. He has always been able to break down extremely complicated things, so that even a Kindegartener could understand what he was saying.
Scott is a fantastically talented Tin Whistle and Trumpet player who knows the subject matter inside and out PLUS he is a great guy !!
Want to get learn or get better ? GET Scott to teach you !!
Scott has a real passion for music and that is evident in his energetic teaching style. He is an extremely talented musician, able to play the tin whistle and trumpet incredibly well, and wants to share those talents with everyone he can. He probably gets even more excited when one of his students learns something new than when he himself does. I think he would rather see a student play a perfect piece than himself, which speaks to his generosity and great personality. If you're looking for an awesome teacher and mentor, Scott is a great choice.+ Read More
Scott is a great teacher. He explains so that the student understands, and he takes time to motivate and encourage. Our teenage son really enjoys the lessons with Scott.
