I am a professional horn player who has made Baltimore his home for the past 3 years. Born in California, I left to earn my Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Denver. I went on to earn my Masters Degree and a Graduate Performance Diploma at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins under the tutelage of Denise Tryon.
While in Denver I performed with the Evergreen Chamber Ensemble, the Longmont Symphony, and the Pueblo Symphony. Since I came to Baltimore, I became the Principal horn of Symphony Number One and I am a founding member of the Old Bay Brass Quintet. I also play regularly with the Washington Chamber Orchestra.
During the summers, I have participated in a variety of festivals and workshops including the Colorado Music Festival, the Miami Music Festival, the National Music Institute and the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute.
My passion for teaching takes hold during the Maryland Wind Festival for which I have been on the faculty for the past two years. We perform concerts and give masterclasses to the students and adults in up-state Maryland.
My hobbies include anything outdoors (hiking, biking, rock climbing, etc). I am also a fan of staying in for the night to cook a nice meal and relax.
