I am 26 years old and moved out to California about 2 years ago from Wisconsin. I have been playing music mainly the guitar since I was 15 and fell in love with it ever since. I have been teaching students about music and how to play the guitar since I was 20 and have had great success in seeing many of my pupils still playing in bands today. I love to play all types of music from Rock and Roll to the Blues to Folk and also Modern Pop songs of today. I teach many styles like finger-picking, strumming, hammer strumming etc. I am laid back and love to see my student's success as they learn a craft that is so important to me. *** Lesson Details *** My curriculum is very goal oriented in that I expect my students to practice often at home. I give them printed out worksheets that explain what I want them to attempt before our next lesson and set them up to succeed in their own ways. I believe the more you succeed in learning guitar the more interested you will become with music in general. I first start out teaching them the physical characteristics of the guitar and how they all work, then I move on to properly tuning and maintaining the guitar, finally I start with basic chord configurations and chord transitions. I expect my students to finish learning a basic song with in the first 2 to 3 lessons and to be accomplishing their own goals about 4 to 5 months out. *** Studio Equipment *** I can provide a studio quality or on the fly quality of your progress as we learn new chords and songs so that you can listen to lessons on any media device you may have at home. I have audio microphones, laptop (Mac), mixer/interface, and audio suite Cubase. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide all recording devices (Mac laptop) to your home and also can provide a student with one acoustic guitar, but I do suggest that student has musical instrument. *** Specialties *** Folk, classical, rock, music theater, ambient

Excellent musician! Great attitude, patience, vast knowledge of music with serious guitar chops. This is what I would expect from an awesome music instructor and Scott has all of these qualities!

Great Experience Scott not only shreads the guitar like a block of colby cheese (WI born and raised), but he is cooler than Chester the Cheeto. Serioulsy though, he is passionate about music and holds a degree in Studio Recording Engineering and Producing. He is skillful, positive, and easy to get along with. You will enjoy learning from him, and his positive attitute and strong communication skills will translate into quick results for you.
