About Scott D.
I have recently retired after several careers, the last of which was as a Physics and Astronomy teacher for 12 years. My experience in teaching these subjects to a wide variety of students of all abilities gives me insight into typical misconceptions that hold students back. I have had good success in helping students pass the rigorous AP Exam to gain college credit.
My degree in Math has been a major help, but a life-long interest in all aspects of Astronomy was what pushed me to reach a high degree of expertise in Physics -- as Astronomy is almost all Physics! And using examples from Astronomy is a big help in explaining many Physics concepts.
