    About Scott D.

I have recently retired after several careers, the last of which was as a Physics and Astronomy teacher for 12 years. My experience in teaching these subjects to a wide variety of students of all abilities gives me insight into typical misconceptions that hold students back. I have had good success in helping students pass the rigorous AP Exam to gain college credit. My degree in Math has been a major help, but a life-long interest in all aspects of Astronomy was what pushed me to reach a high degree of expertise in Physics -- as Astronomy is almost all Physics! And using examples from Astronomy is a big help in explaining many Physics concepts.

Klopsteg, and William S. Webb, led the effort to organize the first association dedicated to improving physics education. Today that vision is supported by members around the world.
