- Ages 5+ and special needs
- Teaching since:
My name is Scarlet. I have been playing guitar for 8 years. I currently attend the UNLV School of Music. I am studying to become a music teacher. As an aspiring teacher, I am educated on how to work with students with special needs. I am also educated on how to work with students from diverse backgrounds. I can adapt my lessons to meet you or your child's needs.
In high school, I started learning how to read music, music theory and, of course, how to play guitar! After school, I would spend hours upon hours singing and accompanying myself to my favorite songs. I loved that feeling so much that I decided to go to school for music and become a music teacher.
Classical guitar is my specialty, but I excited to teach other genres of music. At this time, I do not offer electric guitar lessons. I encourage you to learn finger-style before you move on to electric guitar. You will be able to transfer what you learn with me onto the electric guitar.
***I will customize our lessons for your pace. No experience is needed. I look forward to our lessons!

Scarlet is a great teacher. I have learned a bunch and I appreciate her time and effort. I really enjoy her schedules for me to practice by myself. She is patient and understanding.
Scarlet is an excellent performer, as well as a great teacher. In the performance class we share at UNLV I am always impressed by her incisive comments and insight, as well as her playing. I highly recommend her as a teacher!
