    About Sawdatou D.

I am an undergraduate Psychology student in my senior year at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Writing students can expect to improve upon their organizational and cohesive writing skills. Depending on the assignment or task at hand their are different approaches to writing. The audience, purpose, and format of each written document must be taken into consideration. I can help students identify these different aspects and approaches to writing. I have had experience teaching young children. I have also worked with older students. I am able to break down basic as well as more complex aspects of writing and can help students increase in their comfortability and confidence in their own writing skills and techniques. In high school I was the president of a club that aided students in preparing for college. I helped my peers write and edit college essays that played an important roll in their admissions process. As a college student I have taken multiple English courses as well as humanities classes in which I worked to perfect my writing skills. I believe that the best teachers are those that continue to learn regardless of their expertise because all of us can improve on the skills we already have. My personal passion is narrative writing. I love relaying my own stories or the stories of others. This kind of writing allows me to express my emotions and to also feel the emotions and better understand the experiences of others by trying to look at the world through their eyes. I look forward too meeting you and being able to help you foster, grow, and share the love of writing!
