I will meet you wherever you are, and together we will develop a personalized plan to meet your goals. Whether you want to wow your friends at karaoke, become a more well-rounded musician, start auditioning for shows/groups, learn to love your voice, recover from vocal issues, or just learn to sing for yourself, I want to help! I will combine - all in an easy-to understand format - music theory, voice theory, ear training, vocal training for multiple styles, vocal/auditory health, and music analysis to create the best plan to make you into the musician you want to be!

Singing is a very technical thing. The human voice is an instrument like any other that you can understand and use in a technical manner. But also your voice is a direct extension of your spirit, your identity, your history, and your passions that others can directly perceive! To truly live in your voice, to be proud of your voice, is to be proud of yourself, fundamentally. I will use my clinical knowledge and my personal knowledge as a singer to teach you to use your voice technically without robbing singing of its soul.

About Saturday B.

I am a trans nonbinary voice teacher with a bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology, 13 years of experience as a professional singer, and over 10 years studying and teaching singing, music theory, voice theory, and speech science. I love cats and I am obsessed with Star Trek DS9 and TNG.

Whether you want to learn to sing, become more knowledgeable about music theory, or change the way you use your voice for mental/emotional or vocal health, I want to help you achieve your goals! I pride myself in my ability to tap into what kind of learner each student is, what each student needs, and what kind of learning method is best. A lot of people have a misconception of music as an impossible skill to learn unless you have some magical innate "talent." I think this is because most people were introduced to music in a way that did not suit the way they think. I will meet you where you are and teach you in a way that is customized to every aspect of who you are as a musician and a student.

Very helpful and flexible, appreciated the lessons and the homework outside of the lessons to improve my voice. Definitely saw an improvement just in the 5 lessons I had

Saturday is one of the most phenomenal instructors I’ve ever had! They really worked with me to understand where I was struggling and found a way to practice that worked for me! They are always so patient and ready to teach. I truly feel like I have improved so much since I started lessons with them!

I've thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Saturday so far! As a classically trained singer who has spent all of the quarantine away from choral ensembles and a capella groups, it was absolutely refreshing to be able to dive into a different aspect of music (in my case, broadway singing) while touching up on the music theory aspects of the genre itself. I've been pleasantly surprised by the way that Saturday has been able to relate the more modern styles of singing to what I am already comfortable with while keeping the mood of the lessons fun yet efficient. It's definitely been worth my time and I'm excited to continue learning with them.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to learn from Saturday! I worked with them for a while and always enjoyed their company and general attitude! Eventually, I decided to start taking lessons from them and I am so glad I did! I learned about music theory, different styles of singing, and how to healthily use my voice. I have vocal scarring/damage that causes me discomfort and some pain, especially while singing. Saturday was able to teach me ways to sing comfortably as well as improve my overall sound! It has been and continues to be great!! :)

As someone who never had any training/school choir experience beforehand, Saturday really has made the learning process easy to understand and enjoyable! :))
