    About Sarah M.

I am a classically trained singer and pianist, with 20 years experience on both instruments. I graduated with a BA Music (Vocal Performance) from the Boyer School of Music at Temple University in Philadelphia. I moved to Berlin, Germany in 2016 where I work as a professional singer, private voice/piano teacher, and English-arts educator. To be clear, I am based in Germany but am teaching online, so location is not a problem. Currently I sing with a choir at the Berlin Cathedral. With this same choir I have toured in Rome, Paris (Notre Dame), and will sing in London at Westminster Abbey in 2022. Additionally I sing soprano I in an all female a capella quartet, Goldfinch. We sing pop, folk, spiritual, and standard arrangements in concert and private performance settings throughout Germany. Throughout the year I regularly perform in concert and opera projects, with a focus in Early Music. Bach is my guy. While in Berlin I have performed at the Berliner Dom, Kammermusiksaal at the Berlin Philharmonie, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, and Theater im Delphi. Besides performing, I work as an English-arts educator for Interact English in schools throughout Germany. With Interact I work on 2-5 day projects with children grades 1-12, with the goal of English learning and cultural exchange via arts, theater, and music. On these projects, I have taught in group and one-to-one settings, in subjects such as song writing, singing, acting, dance, costume design, art, and of course, English. As a teacher, my goal is to help you reach your goals, whether it be artistic, technical, or other. I wish to create a low-stress, informative, enjoyable space for my students. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
