I worked at Bright Ranch off and on through college teaching lessons, managing the barn, riding horses and general care. I would haul to shows with Dennis to assist with feeding, cleaning, riding and helping clients that were showing.

At SL Barre Horses, we specialize in barrel racing and gymkhana. We have a small show team that travels to local shows. We also offer beginner to advanced general horsemanship and overcoming fear.

My name is Sarah and I’ve been riding my entire life. I started teaching riding lessons in 2003 but started SL Barrel Horses in 2012. In 2015, we moved to our permanent location in San Juan. I have been barrel racing for about  15 yrs and just recently starting showing at gymkhanas. I look forward helping you achieve your riding goals and chasin’ your dreams 3 turns at a time!

Sarah has been working with my daughter for two years now (we started at 4 yrs old).  She has been a wonderful instructor and has taught my daughter so much about horses and riding.  Everything from balance to anatomy of the horse, parts of the saddle, etc.   She keeps the lessons fun while playing games that are educational at the same time, or games that are working on her balance.  

We also have a blast going to gymkhana's where Sarah has always been there for my daughter to help her in the arena!

Sarah's confidence to teach shines through in my daughter and we just can't say enough great things about her!  So glad to have her in our lives!
