Classical Voice with Sarah J.

Hi! My name is Sarah, I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music Theater and Dance and I would love to share what I've learned with you! I'm a classically trained soprano, but my heart belongs to musical theater. I have been performing in regional and community theaters around New York since I was 13 years old. I spent 2 years studying musical theater, and then transferred to Michigan for classical voice. I have a very strong background in sight singing, vocal technique, acting technique and basic piano skills, but plenty of connections to accompanists if needed. I feel comfortable teaching mix/belting, a style that is growing in popularity in the musical theater business, as well as a more legit operatic sound for singers of any age and gender. I am very well versed in audition etiquette for musicals, plays, and college programs. Lets have fun and strengthen your instrument!
