About Sarah B.
I am studying to become an elementary-school teacher at Boston College. I have been working with kids through after-school programs, internships, and student-teaching placements. At these placements, I have taught students individually, in small groups, and as a whole class in a wide variety of subjects (reading, writing, math, and social studies).
Students can expect to have lessons tailored to their needs, interests, and learning styles. I try to include as many hands-on activities to increase engagement, as well as make the content relatable to students' interests. I feel that this helps with motivation to learn, as well as the amount of information that they learn.
I have a passion for teaching and helping students grow and learn. I love seeing a concept make sense to a student, their "ah-ha" moments. I look forward to helping you with your tutoring needs!
